A company-wide intranet integrates all sales and office staff through PCs and mobile computers. A progressive LAN system coordinates company message boards, circulars, work flow and schedule management and facilitates information sharing. It is also used effectively for training sessions and business meetings. In addition, we are currently developing Sales Force Automation (SFA). These features comprise an efficient system for the timely response to customer demands and the delivery of the latest information. Since the acquisition of ISO 14001 certification, we have continued to pursue numerous ISO related business activities such as the development of environmental products that will generate new initiatives for improving the environment. In terms of Logistics, the Tadotsu Steel Center is fully equipped with such facilities as a wharf for docking foreign vessels, a bonded warehouse and a trailer system, distinguishing our port facilities and storage and transportation systems from those of our competitors.

Amron headquarters are located in Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture with a branch in Tadotsu. We also have bases in the capital cities of three other prefectures: Tokushima, Ehime and Kochi. With fifty-five years of experience in handling steel products, Amron leads the steel trading business in the Shikoku region and handles various ferrous and nonferrous metal and special steel products through tie-ups with manufacturers and trading companies in Japan and overseas. In the construction and civil engineering fields, Armon handles everything from the sale of related materials to their installation and fabrication and, as we are authorized to conduct both general construction and steel fabrication, we are also equipped to provide a total construction package. |
Amron implements different development approaches in each field. The Sales Department at company headquarters has its own development team that has formulated and implemented a variety of proposals in the landscaping business such as shrub and tree-planting, park projects and Amron’s original stainless toilet. Amron is also actively involved in developments in the construction field, offering reconstruction proposals to upgrade buildings and structures in accordance with the new earthquake standards and construction methods that take into consideration the environment. We also use the facilities and technology of our Techno Center to support our customers’ business initiatives and are playing a key role in materials development. |

Amron is expanding into new fields under the theme “Environment and IT.” The Business Use Department offers eco-conscious system proposals for food manufacturing lines and for medical facilities using equipment produced by both domestic and overseas manufacturers. The Environment Department is conducting joint industry, academic and government research to develop environmental ceramics and applying technology to various environmental problems such as water purification. In the IT field, e-Novate, an Amron subsidiary, provides Internet and Web technology support and handles homepage projects, web ordering systems, software development and other activities. |
The Distribution Center at the Tadotsu Steel Center in Tadotsu Town, Kagawa Prefecture serves as a port of entry for foreign trade and is equipped with a private wharf for docking foreign vessels, a 100-ton crane, a bonded warehouse and other facilities. Overland transport of large steel products and steel materials is facilitated by our trailer system and we are also licensed for general freight shipping and storage.  |
